David Polaczek
Founder / Director / Cinematographer
David is a director, cinematographer, and passionate storyteller from Belgium. David’s work range includes a wide range of commercial and corporate works alike. “I love being a cinematographer, but I don’t want to stop there. For me, it’s about having my mark at every step of the process: writing and directing. It’s been my goal since day one”.
A licensed drone pilot both in Europe and in the US, David went all out for ULTRA. “The US is filled with magnificent landscapes, it would have been a shame to stay on the ground. There’s loads to do from above as well.”
After a first and successful Kickstarter campaign to finance episode 1, David founded Tumanguya Pictures, named after Mount Whitney’s Native American name. “It was the end of the road not only for the runners, but also for us… Our crew had followed these incredible athletes for months. During the race we had witnessed incredible courage and resilience. It seemed fitting that our production company referred to our experience in Death Valley. We want our work to be a celebration of what the human spirit can achieve.”
